The project starts with its contents
For a custom build, your items and their intended handling come first. Describe what should go into the case and how the equipment is used. Actual dimensions and photographs of the setup are helpful. If several components are involved, list them individually.
DM-Cases expressly includes custom-build planning in its service. Materials, fittings and dimensions that can be considered for a new project are discussed individually. The original examples convey the breadth of possibilities. They do not replace assessment of your project.
When the case is more than a shell
The reference gallery documents mobile workstations, a desk in a case and a mobile lectern. Other examples include a make-up case for Bayerischer Rundfunk, a case for a gourmet slicer and a DJ mixing desk in a car. These are specific earlier projects with different tasks.
A mobile kitchen is also shown. In the separate campervan project, cases were adapted together with a customer and used as shelving in a van. This does not establish general suitability for other vehicles or a particular fastening method. A new installation needs its own discussion.
Put the requirements on the table
The materials pages show the previous range of outer materials, coatings and fittings. Use this overview to describe your ideas. Handling, lids and layout should be discussed just as early as external dimensions.
The current design, possible repair or modification and lead time for your project are agreed directly with DM-Cases. The documented contact is Drago Mikudim in Kolbermoor. This personal clarification is also the first step for inquiries from Munich.
Instrument cases, monitor cases and custom formats
A guitar case needs to fit the shape of the instrument. A monitor case also has to account for its mount and connectors. For a mixing console case or DJ case, it matters whether the equipment will be removed on site or stay in the case. Include these handling details in your enquiry. The original photos show completed work; your new case will be planned individually.
More photographs from the original range
These photographs also belong to the previous case archive. The small original images document designs from that time.
Good to know
Which custom builds are actually documented?
The original gallery shows mobile workstations, a desk, a mobile kitchen, a make-up case and a DJ mixing desk in a car, among others.
Can I derive binding dimensions from a reference photograph?
No. The projects shown document completed work. Dimensions, construction and the current design for your case must be agreed directly.
How long does a custom build take?
No fixed time is published for a new project. Discuss your timing needs and possible lead time directly with DM-Cases.
